Technician, Calibration 2

Responsibilities

Gathers, sets, and issues equipment including: gages, tools, and instruments for use by Production and Inspection personnel.
2.    Responsible for maintaining lists, records, issuing communications to assigned delegates, and collection of due and past due calibrated equipment.

3.    Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.

4.    Inspection, disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjusting, and re-assembly of equipment and components.

5.    Chemical usage and safety guidelines per procedures and MSDS requirements.

6.    Data entry of Calibration records into Microsoft excel and or Calibration software.

7.    Corresponds with equipment and calibration vendors for technical resource and scheduled services.

8.    Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.

9.    Ability to gain expertise and maintains proficiency with all equipment within assigned responsibility.

10.    Work overtime when requested.

11.    Calibration component and equipment ordering, packaging, and receiving.

12.    Controls out of calibration and scrap equipment.

13.    Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.

Physical Requirements: Work may require lifting, pulling, and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds; frequent bending, climbing stairs, and reaching; sitting for up to eight (8) hours per day; and standing up to eight (8) hours per day. The ability to manipulate small parts; and the ability to read intricate, small, and detailed writing with or without the use of corrective lenses.

Minimum experience and educational requirements: High School diploma or equivalent and minimum 1 year in Quality / inspection and or 1 year in a machining, manufacturing, or assembly type function.

Preferred experience / education: GAGEtrak calibration management software, Instrumentation training / certifications.
