Proposal and Contracts Manager

Responsibilities

 

  • Leads cross-functional Front-End High-Performance Team (HPT) driving business through continuous improvement as well as development and execution of winning strategies for new and momentum business opportunities.
  • Manage site contracts and compliance staff in accordance with organizations policies to include planning, assigning, monitoring work, appraising performance, and guiding professional development.
  • Accountable for the development of robust and competitive new business proposals.
  • Lead momentum business proposals with primary accountability over commercial and contractual aspects.
  • Responsible for the Contract Review and Flow Down process for customer contracts and purchase orders to ensure terms are aligned with company expectations prior to acceptance.
  • Assists in the administration of customer contracts to ensure the company and our customers are adhering to the agreed terms and conditions utilizing compliance matrices, key terms summary, and/or other forms as applicable.
  • Represents TRIUMPH and engages with customer towards amicable settlement of disputes.
  • Furnishes advice, Counsel, and general support in interpreting customer contracts.
  • Reviews NDAs, coordinates with legal department to execute.
  • Manages and maintains the site Contracts Database including Contracts, Order Terms & Conditions, NDAs, and formal correspondence between TRIUMPH and its customers.
  • Releases routine contract letters and supports other formal letters as needed.
  • Coordinates annual pricing reviews to optimize income and profits
  • Oversees site trade compliance activities in collaboration with International Trade Compliance Office.
  • Prepares documents and analyzes data using combination of ERP analytics and Microsoft Office software.
  • Supports proposal activity as assigned including creation of compliance matrices and launching approval workflows.        
  • Follows policies & procedures aligned w/Contracts Playbook & company delegations
  • Fosters positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and/or Engineering Management required. Master’s in business administration a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years business development, proposal management, contracts, program management, or related experience in an aerospace with familiarity of FAR 12/15 is required. Expert knowledge in government contracting a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex proposals including development of costs/pricing.
  • Commercial and Government Contracts knowledge
  • Trade Compliance
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor 10 preferred).
