  • Share responsibility for the leadership of the business to achieve all financial, non-financial and supplier measurement goals.
  • Drive core supply chain performance including delivery, cost and quality; implement corrective/preventative action where necessary. 
  • Manage the Operating Company’s procurement budget, plan and achieve savings to the budget.
  • Lead and manage a high performing supply chain team, ensuring their continuous development and building a collaborative team environment.  
  • Identify new suppliers, visit existing suppliers and negotiate terms of supply agreements including discount structures and volume rebates.
  • Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers ensuring a competitive price and on time delivery for production.
  • Foster and maintain a close working partnership with Yakima teams on the evaluation of new and existing materials components in support of new product development.
  • Evaluate the most appropriate supplier to be used for various purchased items and advise team members and/or management on the appropriate supplier to be used. 
  • Participate in commodity strategy development efforts, concentrating on supplier capability enhancement and/or rationalization.




  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related technical degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of well-rounded supply chain management experience is required, Experience must include supply chain management within the aerospace industry. 
  • Demonstrable success leading a direct reporting team for a minimum of four years is required.
  • Demonstrated ability and expertise in leading strategic and global sourcing is required.
  • Deep expertise in managing MRP systems is required.
  • Prior experience leading a business and team through significant change and performance improvement is highly preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma or process improvement training and/or experience is highlight preferred.
  • APICS certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience leading the strategic analysis to determine make/buy decisions is required.
  • Demonstrable business acumen directed toward a commitment to optimization and efficiency is required.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Travel will be required for the role if candidate is located at the Seattle location
