Summary  This position leads our Maintenance, Facilities, and EHS functions for the site. This is role reports to the Operations Director is a key piece of the Operations leadership team. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of an our organization's facilities. The Maintenance Manager ensures that their co-workers have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to the allotted budget. The Maintenance Manager will have a solid understanding of Machine Tools, Hydraulic Systems, Electrical System, and EHS/EMS. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•    Mentoring and managing maintenance associates within an Aerospace manufacturing environment.
•    Collaboratively seeks and carries out strategic initiatives that are in alignment with the overall organizational goals.
•    Developing and implementing effective means of communicating safety, quality, delivery and cost related metrics to employees.
•    Demonstrates an ability to analyze data.  Utilizes this ability to convey useful information that drives effective actions.
•    Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all departments and levels of internal and external personnel. Interface effectively with other supervisors and managers to achieve overall goals and deliver consistent communication to employees.
•    Must be decisive with strong analytical and technical skills, and able to constructively solve problems.
•    The successful candidate will rely on extensive experience with manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures to plan and achieve departmental and company goals.
•    Responsible for overseeing ISO14001 Environmental Management and supporting EHS functions
•    Coach operational managers and actively assist them in delivering a safe workplace with a strong safety culture, including implementation of corrective actions and/or safety improvement initiatives
•    Proactive management to ensure all risk of injury has been identified and adequately controlled in order to protect our people and minimize risk or injury
•    Conduct or Support Incident and Accident reporting and Investigations.
•    Provides safety stewardship and oversight for on-site sub-contracted services.
•    Works with Risk Management to ensure corrective action is taken where health and safety hazards exist in relation to Workers Compensation injuries

Education and/or Experience                               
•    Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in related industry (aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, or machine shop)
•    Requires solid understanding and experience with:
o    CNC and manual machine tools
o    Hydraulic Systems
o    Electrical Systems
o    Pneumatic Systems
•    Strong knowledge about environment, health and safety regulations, and policies.  
o    Experience in agency-level regulatory compliance at the state and/or local level a plus.

•    Thorough working knowledge of ISO 14001 or generally, Management Systems
o    Certification or training as an Auditor is favorable
•    BA/BS in an Engineering discipline or technical field
•    Ability and interest in researching and understanding specific code or regulatory language in order to maintain EHS compliance. 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, including external customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
•    Proven experience in a management, leadership role/ partnering with senior stakeholders
•    Strong customer service skills.
•    Comfortable with developing and delivering presentations to employees of all levels.
•    Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Other Qualifications                               
Must meet ITAR regulations regarding citizenship requirements.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Working Conditions:
Physical requirements of routine machine shop work as shown below, also: 
voice, vision, hearing, and dexterity.
8 hours/day standing or walking
