Based in Yakima, WA, Triumph Actuation Proand Landing Gear Systems designs, manufactures, assembles, tests, and provides MRO services for aerospace products and systems that include hydraulic actuators, hydraulic valves and manifolds, hydraulic fuses, and repeatable release holdback bars and employs more than 240 employees. Triumph Actuation Products and Services - Yakima is an industry leader in landing gear actuation, providing actuation components to every major aircraft manufacturer. Triumph Actuation Products and Services - Yakima is also the sole supplier of the critical repeatable release holdback bars used for launching US Navy fighter jets from aircraft carriers. TRIUMPH has provided every holdback bar since the F-14.

Responsibilities
Summer Intern - Manufacturing Engineer, Repair & Overhaul
Overview
Triumph is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to support our Repair & Overhaul team for Summer 2026. This role provides hands‑on experience for students pursuing Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, offering exposure to real aerospace production processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Support and maintain visual cell display infrastructure to improve communication and workflow visibility.
• Assist with operations administrative tasks supporting daily production activities.
• Contribute to the 5S program to keep work areas organized, efficient, and audit ready.
• Participate in safety initiatives and help reinforce safe work practices.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and improve process flow.
• Assist with manufacturing workflow documentation, updates, and optimization.
• Provide support for material-handling improvements and process standardization.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent required.
• Pursuing a BA degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and waste reduction methodologies.
• Innovative mindset with a focus on process efficiency and cost reduction.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced production environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization.
• Must provide steel toed/safety shoes.
Pay Range: $18.00 - $26.00/Hour
Hiring range and position pay range may differ, commensurate with education, qualifications, and experience.
