The Engineering Technician will participate in all aspects of test activities for new and existing products.  This includes: procedure review, test set-up, test conduct, and documentation of test results. The successful candidate will be an experienced electro-mechanical technician who can participate in a team setting, is motivated, self-starting, and works with a sense of urgency. They will be able to work from requirements in the form of: test procedures, a specification/plan, or a concept. They will be structured and disciplined in their work, yet remain flexible and agile, adjusting to the situation, while always keeping the end goal in sight. He/she will work with product development teams, operations, and customer teams to perform product development testing, qualification testing, evaluate and provide input to testing schedules, budgets, and provide technical information to the organization as required. They will bring a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a desire to build/grow our business, and a willingness to help the company identify and develop new opportunities. 
This is a position that comes with a considerable amount of 1-on-1 and team interaction, so this position requires the ability to interface with associates at all levels of the organization. 

Knowledge and Experience: 
•    An Associate Degree or Technical Certificate from and accredited technical institute in the areas of Electrical, Hydraulics or Automation or 3+ years of relevant experience as a technician. 
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office, LabVIEW or other data acquisition software.
•    Familiarity with CAD software and programming software such as Visual Basic and C++ desired.
•    Knowledge of testing equipment such as environmental chambers, shakers, servo hydraulic actuators.
•    Understanding and knowledge of various transducers, instrumentation techniques, and data acquisition for testing such as: load cells, pressure, position/LVDT, proximity, thermocouples, pressure sensors, flow meters, and data loggers.
•    Experience in testing hydraulic, electronic or pneumatic devices. 
•    Experience with hand tools and power tools.

•    Demonstrated ability to coordinate several projects and engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedule commitments. Work independently under minimal supervision and guidance to perform tasks of substantial complexity. 

Key areas of responsibility:
•    Using diagrams, procedures and commons shop knowledge assemble test fixtures under guidance from Design and Test Engineering.
•    Set-up instrumentation, measurement system, and equipment to achieve technical objectives; Includes, but not limited to, computer equipment, data acquisition, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, transducers, etc. 
•    Using internal and external procedures conduct test fixture calibrations prior to and as needed during a testing project.
•    Using industry standard software (Visio, Lab View), to diagram and implement testing scenarios as needed for testing procedures.
•    Conduct and document testing as defined by engineering procedures and industry standards (RTCA D0-160, ARP 1311D)
•    Using standard tools flare and bend steel piping to support testing projects.
•    Soldering of connectors and wires to support testing projects.
•    Contribute to test plans and procedures for design verification and qualification testing that best demonstrates compliance to customer and airworthiness requirements. 
•    Active member of a new product development team and provide design-for-testability input to new product designs. 
•    Review and edit test plans to meet the requirements of the company, client and project, prepare testing schedules, budgets, and resource plans 
•    Participate in customer facing activities, such as customer witnessed testing, tours, design reviews, etc. 
•    Identify safety hazards and implement risk reduction activities to mitigate identified hazards. 
•    Maintain documentation including schematics, software documentation, and configuration deliverables.
