Based in Yakima, WA, Triumph Actuation Products and Services designs, manufactures, assembles, tests, and provides MRO services for aerospace products and systems that include hydraulic actuators, hydraulic valves and manifolds, hydraulic fuses, and repeatable release holdback bars and employs more than 240 employees. Triumph Actuation Products and Services - Yakima is an industry leader in landing gear actuation, providing actuation components to every major aircraft manufacturer.  Triumph Actuation Products and Services - Yakima is also the sole supplier of the critical repeatable release holdback bars used for launching US Navy fighter jets from aircraft carriers. TRIUMPH has provided every holdback bar since the F-14.

TRIUMPH's Yakima location has an opening for a Procurement Analyst.  In this position you will coordinate the procurement of aerospace materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization by performing the following duties. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

•    Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
•    Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed.
•    Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested commodity.  Understands the different levels of complexity in various quote packages and can evaluate proposal responses accordingly.
•    Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements.  
•    Evaluates the most appropriate supplier to be used for various purchased items and advises team members and/or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.
•    Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs.  Cost control and reduction is a key metric of this role.
•    Implements purchase contracts (i.e., Purchase Orders) that comply with company and government regulations.
•    Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets quality standards.  Drives on Time delivery above 98% overall from all key suppliers.
•    Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records and compliance with all department procedures and goals.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

•    Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) with 3 years of related experience; or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

 

Position Criteria:

 

•    This position will be procuring bearings and machined parts but may have opportunities in other commodity areas as need arises.  Experience in one or both of these commodities is desirable. 
•    Ability to function well in a fast paced, high-pressure environment. 
•    Strong oral and written communication skills.
•    Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and a diplomatic attitude.
•    Able to create and deliver formal and appealing presentations.
•    Operational knowledge of MRP software.
•    Computer skill sets associated with inventory management, order processing systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). 
•    Negotiations and or contracts experience preferred 
•    Experience with DFAR compliance is a plus.
•    Ability to read and interpret material specifications, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints is highly desirable.
•    May be required to travel approximately 10% 

 

Position Salary Range: $30.04 - $42.41 Hourly.   Hiring range and position pay range may differ, commensurate with education, qualifications and experience.
