Based in Windsor, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 115 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include design, development, manufacture and support of highly engineered mechanical actuation and components for fixed wing and rotary commercial and military aircraft and military systems.
Responsibilities
* Builds and assembles components utilizing assembly test procedures, reading blue prints, and following engineering written instructions.
* Adheres to proper specifications for subassemblies and assemblies by using inspection equipment (OD and ID micrometers, height gages, dial calipers, etc.), and reading blueprints.
* Tests units in accordance with the Customer’s Acceptance Test Procedures and engineering written instructions.
* Meets productions deadlines by following correct procedures for product completion.
* Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
* Ensures product quality by testing assembled parts utilizing specifications and quality control procedures.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma, or equivalent. Technical or vocational training desired.
* 3 years in aviation maintenance, military or manufacturing.
* Strong mechanical aptitude with substantial acquaintance with and understanding of technical aspects of the job.
* Experience with mechanical and/or hydraulic assembly work.
* Work requires the ability to understand and follow instructions, the ability to concentrate and the ability to work as part of a team and get along with others.
* This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills in addition to attention to detail.
