Based in Windsor, CT, Triumph employees aproximately 180 personnel. The Company's key products and services include design, development, manufacture and support of highly engineered mechanical actuation and components for fixed wing and rotary commercial and military aircraft and military systems.

Description:

The Materials Control Supervisor supervises, coordinates, and prioritizes the daily workload for the Shipping, Receiving and Stockroom personnel. This includes but is not limited to receiving, stocking, storage, kitting, and shipping functions. The Materials Supervisor is responsible for the accuracy and preservation of all stored inventory per ISO9000.

Reports to the Materials Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the inventory transactions performed in the receiving, stocking, issuing and shipping processes to ensure inventory accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develops and manages a robust daily cycle count policy & drives RCCA when inventory accuracy falls outside of required parameters.
  • Works with Inventory Audit Specialist to prepare statistical information reports on receiving, shipping and warehouse activities. Supports administration and data entry during physical inventory.
  • Ensure proper storage, preservation, and presentation of materials.
  • Establish backorder system and lot control procedures.
  • Maintain the security of the stockroom, warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
  • Responsible for disseminating and monitoring basic safety and risk awareness within the department and taking actions to reduce or eliminate any such risks or hazards.
  • Manages program terminations, disposal and recycling activities as directed by the Materials Manager and Finance.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Supervises Materials associates and coodinates daily activities including attendance.
  • Provides orientation, training, coaching and assistance to subordinates in their daily tasks.
  • Provides feedback to the Materials Manager on resource and training needs.
  • In conjunction with the Materials Manager, performs annual performance review of Material Coordinators.
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new employees and contractors in association with the Human Resources department and Senior Management.
  • Builds, motivates, and retains a team that consistently meets deadlines.

Skills:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
  • APICS training a plus.
  • HazMat certification
  • PIV certification
  • Experience in Epicor and JDE preferred
  • 5-8 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong organizational & interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to multi-teask and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Requires wearing of personal protective equipment per company policy as required.
  • Operiate PIV equipment as necessary.
