Triumph Systems, Electronics, Controls, provides a full range of integrated solutions for aircraft manufactures around the globe. We partner with key manufacturers to produce crucial components, systems and subsystems required to help maintain a competitive and technological advantage. We provide design, development and support of internally designed components, subsystems and systems, as well as production of complex assemblies using external designs. 
 

The Windsor, CT site is looking for an Analyst, Procurement who will coordinate the procurement and distribution of aerospace materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates all activities related to Product & Non-Product Procurement requirements:
    • Initiating Request for Quotation
    • Supplier Selections
    • Verification of Approved Supplier List
    • Cost and Price Justification
    • Negotiations to promote cost savings/support customer schedules
    • Issuing Purchase Orders
  • Monitors the Open Orders Report and ensures PO acknowledgements are received.
  • Works closely with Supplier Quality to ensure suppliers maintain required QMS system level.
  • Supports customer request for quotes (RFQ's) working closely with Contracts & Manufacturing.
  • Functions via bill of materials (BOM's) and obtaining pricing from suppliers as requested.
  • Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices and other documents to assure accurate retention of records and compliance with all the departments.
  • Supports the SC Purchasing Manager in the development of critical projects for the creation of Standard Work to effectively align Purchasing process to uphold AS9100 requirements.
  • Supports the Inventory Management team to manage proper levels of material for Operations/Assembly.
  • Maintains ownership of accounts to effectively support data for Performance Metrics Board.
  • Other activities as requested by the needs of the Department/Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of Procurement experience preferably in the Aerospace industry.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a focus in Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • Experience in commodities, i.e. Engineered Items, Machining, COTS items.
  • Familiar with Government/Military Prime contracts/DPAS rated orders.
  • Ability to read Blueprints and Bill of Materials (BOM's)
  • Knowledge of AS91000 compliance; support audits when needed.
  • Knowledge of MRP software (JDE platform is a plus).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced complex manufacturing environment.
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office applications with moderate to expert skill level in Excel (VLOOKUP/Pivot tables/Charts)
  • Ability and willingness to promote continuous improvements to support an evolving business environment.
