Triumph Engine Control Systems is a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter and business jet markets. Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph employs approximately 550 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket / spares end markets.


Triumph is seeking a Supervisor, Electronics Assembly & Test (2nd shift) to supervise and coordinate the acitivites of the bargaining unit workforce engaged in operating a variety of electronics equipment to meet production schedules while maintianing 100% product quality and ensuring a safe working environment. 

Supervisory Responsibilities


Directly supervises 12+ bargaining unit employees in the Electronics Assembly & Test department.  Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising and rewarding performance; address discipline issues, complaints and resolve problems.


The successful candidate will be a dynamic multitasking team player with solid experience with aerospace electronics assembly and test practices, small volume mixed mode production, contract bargaining agreement personnel management, lean manufacturing, process flow optimization and strong communication skills.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


In addition to the key responsibilities outlined above, the successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.


  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisor experience within a union environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field preferred.
  • Strong business acumen coupled with mental aptitude and motivation to learn.
  • Demonstrate initiative and advanced interpersonal skills in team problem solving situations, relationship building and aligning with business goals.
  • MS Office equivalent, Project Management tools experience is a plus.
  • Contract Bargaining Agreement negotiation skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with export controls regulations (ITAR/EAR) is a plus.
