Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph employs approximately 550 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.
Triumph is actively recruiting a summer 2021 Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support a range of technical responsibilities in a high pace manufacturing production environment. The internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience related to his or her major that will enhance and complement classroom learning.
Responsibilities
- Design tooling and fixtures in AutoCAD
- Print tooling and fixtures in 3D printer
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers with the support of CNC machining, assembly, and test cells
- Draw factory floor layout concepts to promote optimal manufacturing flow and space conservation
- Assist with streamlining process flow and eliminating waste
Qualifications
- Rising Junior or Senior
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies used in eliminating waste from manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with principles of manufacturing production line layouts
- Innovative approach for driving process efficiencies and cost reduction
- Good writing ability
- excellent mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal and team skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization
- Candidates must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent resident
