Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.
Responsibilities
Salary Range: $26.68 - 40.04/hour
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Control Associate in our West Hartford location to support daily cycle count activities. In this role, you will perform physical counts, enter inventory data, reconcile variances, and help maintain inventory accuracy throughout the site. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to efficient materials management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an on-site role with limited remote work flexibility as needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Daily Inventory Counting & Reconciliation
- Perform scheduled cycle counts of inventory components, parts, and materials.
- Accurately record physical count results and compare them with system quantities.
- Investigate discrepancies through basic root-cause analysis and report findings to Finance, Supply Chain, or Quality personnel.
- Support corrective actions by identifying missing, misplaced, or mislabeled inventory.
Data Entry & System Accuracy
- Enter cycle count results, adjustments, and notes into the MRP system (JD Edwards).
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain detailed records of counts and variances.
- Assist in identifying and resolving data issues related to inventory transactions or material movement.
Material Handling & Organization
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly labeled storage areas to support accurate inventory control.
- Assist materials personnel with locating materials, updating locations, and verifying part identification.
- Follow established procedures for handling, storing, and tracking materials.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
- Support safe material handling practices and report any unsafe conditions or concerns.
Cross-Functional Interaction
- Work with Production, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Communicate count results, issues, and delays clearly and promptly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
- Basic computer skills and comfort with data entry.
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred, but training provided).
- Familiarity with Kardex Vertical Lift Modules (VLM) preferred, but training provided.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and work independently while supporting team goals.
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
