Triumph Engine Control Systems is a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter, and business jet markets. Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph employs approximately 530 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.
Triumph is actively recruiting a summer 2022 Intern, Quality to support a range of technical responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing production environment. The internship provides a college-level student with practical experience related to his or her major that will enhance and complement classroom learning.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
•Develop training aids such as manuals and handbooks
Provide feedback to program participants and management
•Engage in CI events including event brainstorming, organization, and presentation
Participation in First Article and Pre-MRB/MRB documentation/requirements
•Assist area leads with identifying and implementing process improvements
•Thermal FAI processing of in-process manufactured parts includes ballooning of prints, package release, data gathering, data verification and data entry
•Electronically scan and file the FAI hardcopies on the Triumph intranet files
Programs:
1.RI Pre-MRB Activities (as required)
a.QN generation and understanding requiring training by applicable Triumph Quality Personnel
b.Data compilation/collection
c.Metrics graphing and reporting
2.Final Inspection Activities (if required)
a.IOS activity
b.Inspection activity
Evaluation:
Intern shall be evaluated/measured on the following:
1.Attendance/availability/punctuality
2.Interaction with Triumph personnel
3.Adaptability to Triumph procedures
4.Compliance to Triumph requirements
5.Accomplishment/results of primary activity workload
Qualifications
•Rising Junior or Senior
•Minimum GPA of 3.0
•Good writing ability
•Self-motivated individual with good interpersonal and team skills
•Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field.
•Excellent planning and organizational skills
•Demonstrated competency in data gathering and analysis and problem-solving skills
•Possesses critical thinking skills with ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
•Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization
•Candidates must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident
