Position

Triumph is actively recruiting a Machining Manufacturing Engineer Intern to support a range of technical responsibilities in a high pace manufacturing production environment. The internship will provide a college-level student with practical experience related to his or her major that will enhance and complement classroom learning.


The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, good writing ability, strong computer knowledge, and must be self-motivated with good interpersonal and team skills. Familiarity with principles of manufacturing production lines, reading mechanical drawings, CAD modeling, basic programming/scripting and knowledge of LWW continuous improvement philosophies. 

Responsibilities

•Design tooling and fixtures in AutoCAD.  Print fixtures in 3D printer.
•Assist Manufacturing Engineers in: turning, milling, machining, and grinding cells
•Involvement in factory floor layout redesign to promote optimal manufacturing flow and space conservation
•Tool and Fixture Standardization 
•Process Documentation Cleanup Thermal Systems and Legacy Products
•Enhance visual aid on shop floor and digital communication boards
•Support 5S, Machine Maintenance, and Machine Health programs
•Digital Transformation (Industry 4.0)
•Contribute by streamlining processes and eliminating waste via introduction of new technology 

Qualifications

•Qualified candidates must be in their Junior or Senior Year, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. 
•Pursuing a Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
•Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies used in eliminating waste from manufacturing processes needed.
•Innovative approach for driving process efficiencies and cost reduction
•Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
•Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization
