Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Electronics and Control employs approximately 500 people.  The Company’s key products and services include the design, development, certification, manufacture and repair of aerospace thermal systems, fuel pumps, fuel metering units, fuel controls, and electronic engine control systems for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft servicing military, commercial, regional and business jet market segments.

Responsibilities

•Provide materials and processing support for production, development and R&D hardware for mechanical and electronic gas turbine engine controls and fuel systems.  
•Select appropriate materials, processes and NDT for components which may involve metallics, non- metallics, adhesives and protective coatings. 
•Perform failure analysis to establish root cause and corrective action.  
•Assist in supplier audits and REACh compliance.  
•Evaluate new manufacturing methods and alloys.  
•Conduct aluminum casting process development and troubleshooting of production yield problems. 
•Supervise and mentor a small technical staff of junior materials engineers. 

Qualifications

•BS, Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering
•Ten years minimum in an Aerospace Engineering environment. 
•Knowledge of high reliability Electronics manufacturing (soldering and associated processes) a plus.
•Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
