Triumph Engine Control Systems is a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter and business jet markets. Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph employs approximately 550 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket / spares end markets.


The Electronics Engineer will provide engineering support to various areas of the business focusing primarily on existing production programs. The Engineer must possess a level of technical expertise required to adequately support assigned product lines to design and substantiate engineering changes for those products.



Primary responsibilities include:

  • Prepare technical reports documenting the nature, reason, and substantiation for proposed engineering changes.
  • Prepare and conduct technical presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Provide a technical interface for customers’ engineering questions/requests based on their review of proposed changes.


Secondary responsibilities include:

  • Develop design product improvements and reliability related engineering design changes.
  • Develop changes to designs to reduce cost.
  • Develop Lessons Learned based on design improvements.



  • Strong Technical Engineering background is preferred.
  • BSEE is preferred.
  • At least three years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Recent college graduates will be considered.
  • Experience in Avionics, Instrumentation, Control System Design, or Electronics Product Engineering is preferred.
  • Strong MS Office (Project, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) skills are required.
  • Circuit Analysis and/or Simulation Skills are required.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel 5%.
