Overview

 

Triumph Engine Control Systems is a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter, and business jet markets. Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph employs approximately 550 personnel. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

 

Triumph is recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to join their Business Development team. This role is responsible for the development and performance of sales activities within an assigned market segment. You will provide single point of contact towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. In addition you will establish plans and strategies to expand and deliver targets to the customer base in the aftermarket arena.

Responsibilities

 

  • To develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • To be responsible for the performance and development of the Sales Plan.
  • To prepare action plans for individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • To initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • To assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • To provide timely feedback to senior management regarding sales performance.
  • To provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while maintaining maximum profit margin.
  • To maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports.
  • To create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • To assist team members in the preparation of proposals and presentations.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and 5-7 years of experience in sales management.
  • Experience with enterprise software solutions and large, complex organizations.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Evident commercial experience and Customer-facing skills.
  • Knowledge of Triumph products, customers and technologies particularily Power and Small Engine products is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills, influencing and communication skills, and sensitivity to cultural issues.
  • Needs to be very motivated and capable of working fully on own initiative.
  • Domestic travel up to 30%.
