  • Responsible for the overall quality of the repair station and for providing an adequate number of competent personnel who can inspect the work for which the repair station is rated
  • Ensures an efficient and effective quality control system by providing the Quality Department Personnel with the direction and resources necessary
  • Establishes procedures to determine the need for original and recurrent training of personnel consistent with the work to be performed
  • Maintains a current file of all pertinent manuals (FAA and Manufacturer), FAA specifications, Type Certificate Data Sheets, and Airworthiness Directives as well as airline customer requirements
  • Maintains files of completed work orders and inspection forms in such a manner that records pertaining to a specific item repaired can be readily located for review
  • Supervises certification and calibration methods and procedures by assuring that calibration is performed on schedule with no impact to work flow; adequate records are maintained on all precision tools, test equipment, and standards, along with the method and time intervals of calibration
  • Revises the Repair Station and Quality Manuals
  • Assures inspection forms, required FAA forms, maintenance release forms and log entries are properly completed and Repair Station records are maintained and current
  • Applies to the local FSDO Office for Repairman Certificate for personnel, as he deems necessary
  • Plans, Develops and executes the audit schedule to assure that all appropriate aspects of AS9100 are being reviewed; trains auditors
  • Presents the results of audits and the status of corrective actions to senior leadership; assigns corrective actions, clearly defining the requirement and discrepancy; meets with necessary personnel to ensure the findings are clear, actions are assigned and the parties understand the scope of their responsibility
  • Supports the review and release of QMS procedures to assure compliance to AS9100
  • Develops approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities


  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of Quality Assurance experience in Aerospace or other complex manufacturing industry

Thorough knowlege of:

  • Triumph Accessory Services ERP system (or similar)
  • Methods, practices, inspection techniques and tolls used in Aerospace role
  • FAA 8130-3 Authorized Release Document, FAA Advisory Circulars and Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Microsoft Suite
  • Government and industry quality assurance codes and standards, including the administration of a QMS
  • Lean 6 Sigma

Special Requirements:

  • Certified per 14CFR Part 65
  • Maintain a valid state drivers license
