Responsibilities

•    Interpret and apply customer specifications, including aerospace/defense standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, Boeing D6 XXX requirements if applicable)
•    Focus on using statistics and data analysis techniques to improve processes. 
•     Lead complex investigations using structured problem solving tools (8D, A3, DMAIC, Ishikawa, 5 Why).
•    Own Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) from initiation through verification of effectiveness
•    Drive proactive quality initiatives, including PFMEA, control plans, risk mitigation, and process robustness improvements.
•    Set up product and process inspections to determine sample sizes to include but no limited to writing procedures that include selection of the correct measuring tools.
•    Understand and analyze complex problems and derive solutions. 
•    Effectively communicate technical issues, solutions, ideas, and concepts to a diverse audience including Program Managers, Customers, and Executive Management.
•    Determine material review board dispositions for product nonconformances.
•    Lead and participate in nonconformance investigations to analyze and determine root cause, define corrective actions, and ensure corrective action implementation is effective.
•    Participate in program and quality assurance reviews.
•    Determines, tracks and reports quality performance.
•    Review customer drawings and specifications and to fully understand requirement flow downs.
•    Prepare and review quality documentation including policies, procedures, processes, and First Articles to ensure compliance to internal and external requirements.
•    Conduct internal audits of products, processes and procedures and act as a credible escort for internal and external auditors.
•    Understands the design intent, requirements, and specifications of our products as well as the manufacturing processes, process controls and failure modes.
•    Provide support in development and evaluation of product and process capability, process control plans, analysis of conditions, and process audits with the objective of improving process performance and capability. 
•    Daily collaboration with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, manufacturing, and inspection to ensure high quality product is delivered to our customers.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineeering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or related discipline). 
•    ASQ CQE, CSSBB, CSSBG, CSSYB Preferred. 
•    5 –10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
•    Strong knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001, PPAP, FAI (AS9102), and MRB processes.
•    Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
•    Proficiency with statistical analysis, SPC, MSA, and process capability tools.
•    Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
•    Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across functions
Preferred Qualifications
•    Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
•    Experience working with aerospace OEMs (Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed, etc.).
•    Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and digital quality tools.
•    Experience with supplier quality development and audits.
•    Advanced data analysis skills (Minitab, JMP, Python, or similar).

Salary: $115,000 - $145,000 plus bonus
