Manager, Operations Support - R&O and A&T

The Manager, Operations Support will manage the Repair & Overhaul and Assembly &Test activities, creation and validation of new product introductions, provide leadership, and work with the all functional leaders, such production Control, on the deployment of newer technologies, with a relentless focus on continual improvement. This role shall manage employees, will be directly responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the R&O and A&T departments to ensure the department is able to meet the daily established schedules, metrics, goals, and objectives. 

Responsibilities

• Establishes work flow of products returned to Triumph for repair and overhaul.
• Sets priorities and work schedules for R&O and A&T organization to ensure the best overall use of time and personnel to meet established goals.
• Establishes performance goals of the R&O and A&T and ensures actions are taken to meet the company goals.
• Ensures Repair and Overhaul organization is fully compliant with all FAA regulatory requirements.
• Ensures all work performed meets requirements of applicable Component Maintenance Manual and/or customer requirements.
• Works with Procurement/Planning personnel to ensure Aftermarket Services inventory needs are met for meeting customer and company turn time requirements.
• Makes final decisions on repair and overhaul function when necessary.
• Supports Aftermarket Services Group objectives by performing special projects and other duties.
• Establishes Key Process Indicators and publishes daily, weekly, monthly metrics with action items for recovery and improvement.
• Develops staff for cross training and flexibility. Documents training and effectiveness.
• Monitors and corrects daily reporting for timekeeping.
• Effects employee Performance Development Reviews and establishes goals and objectives.
• Participates in internal audits and supports third party audits when required.
• Submits Engineering Change Requests for value engineering and advanced interface coherence.
• Possess the ability to troubleshoot and be proficient at the application of problem-solving tools, i.e. DMAIC, RCCA, PDCA, etc. 
• Be tenancies and relentless in the quest to do effective problem solving, the reduction of Scrap, and the optimization of process.
• Hold everyone people accountable through effective coaching and development.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.  
  • 8+ years’ of demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.   
  • Aerospace industry and Six Sigma work experience a plus.
  • Must be a local candidate, willing to work weekends, 1st and 2nd shift may overlap.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
