We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible in improving existing manufacturing procedures, developing new product and estimates utilizing the best techniques, technology and Lean practices to maintain current business, win new business, and be profitable. This role will require the individual to be comfortable working side by side with machinists and running machines.


  • Recommend and implements improvements in tools, equipment, process and materials. Specifies detailed planning of individual products and processes.
  • Provides support for manufacturing to correct, improve or initiate processes/tooling or methods in a timely manner.
  • Participates in Engineering design reviews on new products and design changes.
  • Coordinates and aids in the preparation of capital asset and expenditure budgets.
  • Investigates and analyzes requests for additions or changes in equipment and facility requirements.
  • Prepares manpower and machine loading data.
  • Prepares and reviews forms and procedures to promote efficiency of operation.
  • Develops cost studies of new manufacturing methods, equipment, and processing and compares with present methods, and prepares summary briefings with recommendation.
  • Develops design, and install methods, processes, material handling and work station equipment to facilitate the handling of material and parts in manufacturing operation.
  • Performs special assignments at the request of management. Direct work of other personnel assigned to expedite completion of special assignment.
  • Prepares part program and related information for CNC areas.
  • MRB support in rework instructions and corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.


  • Associate degree in mechanical engineering or related field, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5 years programming experienced required.
  • Technical hands on experience with Lathe, Mill, and conventional machining
  • Experience machining parts
  • Strong experience with Solidworks and MasterCam lathe and mill 3, 4 and 5 axis (must be able to create machine programs in G-Code and modify existing program without CAD/CAM software)
  • Manufacturing, Machining, and assembly experience
  • Blueprint reading, process specifications and GD&T
  • Developing the machining/production process to manufacture complex metal parts
  • Lean techniques and practices
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) skills are required
  • Familiar with aerospace specifications a plus
  • Aerospace experience a plus
  • Team based problem solving
