Job Summary
Knowledge of Assisting the running of a Slitter/Tuber efficiently
Responsibilities
- Perform all job-related activities in a safe, effective, and efficient manner within the companies stated policies, procedures and standards of practice including those related to Environmental, Health and Safety.
- Organization, cleanliness, adherence to company policies and procedures, attention to quality, detail and accuracy of paperwork are important facets of this position.
- Keep machine running as efficiently as possible daily
- Verify all paperwork in job packet to make sure everything is correct to run job if not then see lead Tuber Operator before starting job.
- Pay close attention to schedule daily to make sure you are running the correct job
- Keep set up for the next job ready to go before the job is ready to start to save down time (Blade Bar-Shifts-Cut Cores etc.)
- Complete all paperwork and return all materials to stock before starting next job
- At the end of the shift make sure area is in a neat and orderly manner (all trash empty, floor swept all and spacers put away etc.)
Qualifications
DECISION MAKING/SUPERVISION/RESOURCE AUTHORITY:
- Works under general supervision of Operations Manager
EQUIPMENT/TOOLS USED:
- General office systems, to include, computers (desktop/laptop), telephone, forklift and laminate equipment.
ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is customarily performed in a production setting with a normal temperature range.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- In Order to meet all expectations of this position, an individual must be able to:
• Regularly sit, stand walk, lift, pull/push, carry, grasp, reach,
• Color Vision – Differentiate between colors (no color blindness)
• Speaking and listening are critical
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stooping, crouching, crawling, walking, climbing are regular requirements of this position
• Workplace chemicals: Solvents, solvent fumes, adhesives, lubricants, coolants and propane
• Occasional outside work in hot and cold climate
• Noise exposure, atmospheric exposures, motor noise and fan noise
• Travel, none
