The expected duties and related activities for the CSA Bench Mechanic include but are not limited to the support of Production needs in the Stuart Facility. Ideal candidates will be expected to perform and support the activities listed below.


  1. Support daily servicing, repair, maintenance and setup of MOPs per the appropriate operation sheets.
  2. Servicing of equipment identified and returned from production to support activities.
  3. Perform preventative maintenance on wear components.
  4. Maintain equipment inventories of both portable durable tools and replacement parts required for maintenance efforts.
  5. Servicing equipment includes, but is not limited to, the following type of maintenance:
    1. Check for leaks, add to fluid level(s) and/or change fluid if needed and bleed motor as required.
    2. Check shift pressure per manufacturer’s specifications on Pneumatic – Hydraulic fastener installation tools.
    3. Cycle/test equipment prior to releasing to production floor.
    4. Check speeds, feeds, stroke settings and cutting tool changes where applicable and per associated document (i.e., MOP).
  6. Check for cutting tool and bushing wear, speeds and feeds per applicable documents if small tool is creating an oversized hole condition.
  7. Able to understand tool break out specifications with ability to disassemble and reassemble components as needed.
  8. Be able to utilize basic measurement tools such as scale, caliper and micrometer for measuring, verification and setup.
  9. Understands basic principles of hydraulics and pneumatics along with the dangers of each
  10. Understands methods required for Production floor assembly mechanics
  11. Has proficient understanding of computer usage to include basic navigation and Microsoft Office.


  • The successful candidate must have a High School Diploma or accredited GED and 0-1 years of experience
  • Manufacturing work experience or mechanical background strongly preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
