Responsibilities
Supply Chain Material Technical Operations for Triumph Aerospace Structures will have responsibility of Supplier Interface
and adhering to all safety protocols. Understand and adhere to sub-tier supplier contractual obligations and ensure
supplier executes to the requirements.
Engage with local sites for buy-to-buy and make-to-buy work transfers. Participate in site reviews on site activity around
CRI, IAT and work transfers. Review Commodity Codes for accuracy to ensure Buyers are sending RFQs to the
appropriate Suppliers. Match up common parts (LH & RH) to be placed with common supplier to gain more economical
pricing. Ensure projects are executed on time and in budget. Perform cost analysis on specific parts for Buyers to validate
Supplier pricing. Close integration/collaboration between MTO, Tech Ops, Quality and Procurement/Logistics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Expectations (Work Transfer):
• Successfully complete work transfer for buy-to-buy and make-to-buy products and adhere to processes and tools
Ensuring First Article Flow Plans (FAFP) and Buffer Stock Plans are developed, managed, and maintained by the
supplier and communicated with supply management, program management and site leadership teams
• Partner with suppliers on best practices within their commodities that supports the site
• Interface with the site Area Manufacturing Engineers (ME’s) to address integration or program specific concerns,
challenges, and issues
• Working with Strategic Sourcing, develop technical statements of work for support of supply base during bid process
• Support business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and
coordination for key events, new product launches, and network redesigns
• Review business processes and escalate issues and risks associated to the site Continuous Improvement (CI) focal
(single point of failure, inefficiencies impacting schedule, process not robust enough to handle late emerging changes)
Shortage Mitigation Expectations (Delivery Assurance):
• Expedite supplier late deliveries to reduce or eliminate any delivery risk to our customer
• Work with the supplier and assist buyer to get an accurate Line of Balance (LOB)
• Review critical parts that will impact production and assess inch stone plan for technical accuracy with supplier and
buyer
• Work with buyer to provide them your assessment of the LOB (what is your confidence in the dates provided and why)
• Work to resolve part constraint at Suppliers due to technical/business process issues
• Coordination with 3rd parties for delivery assurance tasks at suppliers
• Work with supplier to mitigate these risks and escalate to senior management as required
• Proficient with Delivery Assurance processo Defines, measures, analyses, improves and controls underperforming supplier delivery performance in the
businesses by engaging with all the main stakeholders and leading with lean six sigma approach.
Sustainable improvement of the supplier delivery performance to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University is required (equivalent industry experience may be accepted by
hiring manager)
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in engineering, technical operations, or supply chain
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in supplier performance measurement and development
• Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong presence with the ability to interact with Senior Leadership.
• Business and Project/Program Management
• Word, Power Point and Excel (pivot tables, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Teaming and ability to lead and learn quickly
• Ability to work independently and complete multiple assignments on time.
Travel
• 10-25% Travel to supplier location
