Senior Manager, Human Resources

Responsibilities

•    Responsible for development of Human Resources strategy and aligning strategy to support overall business plan.
•    Responsible for managing labor relations with the UAW including facilitating proper adherence to the collective bargaining agreement and partnering with union leadership.
•    Responsible for attracting, recruiting and staffing the organization with high performance individuals who can understand how their responsibilities impact the business.
•    Provides counsel and influences leadership regarding policies, practices, laws and regulations to ensure all human resource policies and programs are in compliance with local and governmental regulatory requirements.
•    Responsible for remaining current on all regulatory and legal changes regarding HR compliance and requirements, and the subsequent compliance with such.
•    Responsible for continual development and structuring the organization to grow and adapt to the changes in the business industry. Acts as the catalyst for change management and provides leadership in these initiatives.
•    Direct the compensation and performance management process to reward and retain people who make and can continue to make valuable contributions to the company. Develop, organize and implement training and develop programs, outlets, and resources for ongoing          development planning needs to address skill gap identification as part of the development process. 
•    Responsible for fostering positive employee relations and meaningful communication programs.
•    Responsible for developing reward and remuneration programs aligned with the business objectives.
•    Responsible for labor relations including handling grievances, arbitrations, and collective bargaining, if applicable.
 

Qualifications

•    Minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
•    Minimum of five (5) years as an HR Generalist with experience in employee relations, labor relations, staffing, rewards and recognition and performance management.  
•    Minimum two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing setting
•    Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Business or Human Resources from an accredited institution
