Supplier Quality Engineer II
Works with suppliers to develop, implement, and evaluate quality process control systems, procedures, and statistical methods to evaluate process and product quality in an aerospace structures environment. Designs and identifies inspection and test equipment to support customer or regulatory agency requirements. Performs continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities
•    Work to resolve quality issues and provide guidance on process enhancements and improvements.
•    Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
•    Performing regular quality control audits to ensure vendors continue to work in compliance with company and federal standards.
•    Develop and track supplier quality metrics including defect rates to drive improvements.
•    Support training and employee evaluation process in regard to the QMS is appropriate and effective for preventing nonconforming product and customer complaints.
•    Adherence to contract compliance through root cause analysis & determination and corrective and preventative action.
•    Interfaces with suppliers and customers.
•    Create and maintain process control plans to ensure process outputs confirm to requirements.
•    Develop root cause analysis on non-conforming processes and products and establish corrective actions as necessary.
•    Conduct detection and prevention methodologies such as process error proofing and layered auditing.


Required Qualifications
•    Master’s degree in related STEM field and 2 years of quality or manufacturing related experience.
•    Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM field and 4 years of quality or manufacturing related experience.
•    High School Diploma and 8 years of quality related experience in an aerospace environment. 

•    Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and effectively manage product and process quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
•    Ability to work with cross functional departments.
•    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide solutions.
•    Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks/priorities.
•    Experience reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical systems. 
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs.
•    Experience using RCCA tools to reduce and eliminate quality defects.
Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience with CAD Software applications.
•    Prior aircraft manufacturing experience.
•    FAA, QMS - Audit (AS9100), PPAP experience preferred.
•    Customer interface experience preferred.
•    Experience with MES/MEDS/SAP preferred.
