Responsibilities

  • Primary Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Create and maintain process control plans to ensure process outputs confirm to requirements.
  • Conduct detection and prevention methodologies such as process error proofing and layered auditing.
  • Perform Eddy Current, Liquid Penetration, and Ultrasonic non-destructive testing operations as required by engineering.
  • Read, interpret, and analyze results related to non-destructive testing methods (penetrant, eddy current, ultrasonic, etc.)
  • Perform process control checks and non-destructive testing related calibrations as necessary.
  • Ensure all materials and tools are calibrated and current to expiration dates.
  • Develop and maintain processes, test methodology and procedures.
  • Understand manufacturing methods and part construction, as it relates to the NDT data.
  • Pursues elimination of waste, the improvement of equipment reliability and efficiency, and the reduction of operating costs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related STEM Field.
    OR
  • High School Diploma and 4 years of quality related experience[.

 

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks/priorities.
  • Level II non-destructive testing certified
  • This position prefers two years of experience certified as NDT Level II.
  • Perform NDT operations as required by engineering.
  • Read, interpret, and analyze results related to NDT testing methods (penetrant, eddy current, ultrasonic, etc.)
  • Ensure all materials and tools are calibrated and current to expiration dates.
  • Develop and maintain processes, test methodology and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must be flexible with schedule requirements to support production needs.
