Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation and other manufacturing operations relating to specific portions of the product for guidance of production workers. Plans for the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
  • Seeks optimized sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential requirements.
  • Generates planning from 3D models using ENOVIA and CATIA V5.
  • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
  • Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
  • Provides guidance to Engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
  • Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, work-flow and layout.
  • Interpret in-depth engineering requirements and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering or related field and three years of related experience.
  • The successful candidate must have experience in large airframe structures, Determinate Assembly (DA) requirements and techniques, assembly tools methods and manufacturing techniques.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
