Responsibilities

  • Provided MRB Engineering Support to Operations to address issues occurring during the fabrication of aircraft and/or aircraft components in support of the Boeing programs.
  • Liaison Engineering functions to include investigation of mfg. issues, design of repairs, engineering support to manufacturing for dwg/spec interpretation, coordinating efforts across a multiple functional organization, such as Planning, Tooling, Stress, M&P, Materiel, and Manufacturing. Coordinates with other engineering organizations to ensure that repairs meet customer and contractual requirements. 
  • Provides technical assistance and direction to team members as required.
  • Determines and develops own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives while working under limited supervision; work should only be required to be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
  • Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a BS Aerospace Engineering or BS Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program recognized by the Washington Accord and a minimum of five (5) years Aerospace Engineering experience or three (3) years with an applicable MS Engineering degree.
  • Prior Boeing Commercial MRB Liaison Signature Authority with successful completion of Boeing MRB Structural Repair Analysis Course, or equivalent a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with others. Must have exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Pursuant to International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”), applicants for SELECT positions will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status in order to meet the minimum qualifications for those select positions.
