Systems Seattle’s function is to design and integrate systems and structures aboard customer airframes utilizing the broad capabilities of the companies within the Triumph Group.
Job Description:
Tests, calibrates, adjusts and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro-mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments to conform to set standards. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed blueprints, drawings, and instructions. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Essential Functions of the Job:
• Maintain database of calibrated parts and update TASS numbers, part locations, and calibration due dates
• Coordinate closely with QA on calibration. QA will maintain inspection and production parts. The technician will maintain calibration on all engineering test parts
• All of the following parts will be calibrated in-house by the calibration technician. Any parts not on this list will be given to QA to send out to a calibration house
o Pressure Transducers
o Temperature Transmitters
o String Pots and other Linear Displacement Transducers
o Signal Conditioners/Amplifiers
• Update a list of parts and calibration due dates that will be posted on each individual test system
• Remove and re-install parts
• When a part is re-installed, update the new scale parameters in Measurement and Automation Explorer software, or communicate with the Electrical Engineering Test Manager to have the scale adjusted
• If a part needs to be calibrated that can’t be done at our facility and there is not a current backup, communicate closely with the test managers about ordering a backup at least three weeks before the part is needed.
• Maintain the quality control cabinet which house back-up parts for all test systems
• Ensure that all parts are properly etched with TASS numbers or that the calibration stickers are clear-coated
Education and Experience:
• A.A. Degree in Electrical/Electronics
• 5 years’ experience as a Technician a plus
• Experience with ERP systems (EPICOR Vantage) a plus
• Aerospace industry experience a plus
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Proficient in MS office, especially Excel
• Detail oriented, prompt, organized
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to work with minimal supervision, both alone and in teams
• Experience with Labview and Measurement and Automation Explorer a plus
• Trigonometry and calculus level math skills
• Some computer programming experience is a plus

• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the production facility
• Occasional heavy lifting required
