Short Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Aircraft Structures Engineer to join our Landing Gear design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Landing Gear or other aircraft critical mechanism design and be comfortable working in fast paced environment. You will be responsible for clean sheet design from initial concept trade studies through to production design. This role requires an understanding of materials science, structural mechanics, as well as proficiency in using advanced engineering software and tools. You will work closely with other engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative solutions that meet performance, and cost requirements. Your ability to communicate effectively and work in a strong but small team orientated environment will be crucial in collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting your findings to stakeholders. Additionally, you will be expected to stay current with industry trends and advancements, continuously improving your skills and knowledge to contribute to the success of our projects. Responsibilities 
•    Design and analyze aircraft structural components from Solid model concepts through final drafted detail parts.
•     Ensure structural integrity using FEA tools.
•    Drafting parts using GD&T
•     Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.
•    Support material selection and testing requirements for structural components.
•    Ensure design is cost effective working manufacturing teams, suppliers and external partners. 
•     Stay current with industry trends and advancements.
•     Participate in design reviews and provide feedback.
•     Optimize designs for weight, cost, and performance.
•     Contribute to the development of engineering best practices.
 

Short Description

•     Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
•     Minimum of 15 years of experience in aircraft structural engineering.
•     Proficiency in CAD (e.g., SOLIDWORKS, CATIA).
•    Experience with FEA software.
•     Strong understanding of materials science and structural mechanics.
•     Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA).
•     Proficiency in GD&T Microsoft Office Suite.
•     Experience with structural optimization techniques.
•     Knowledge of fatigue analysis.
•     Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
 

Compensation: $147,800 - $201,600
