Responsibilities

Compiles records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued.
Requisitions needed supplies; verifies material received to determine irregularities in order; inspects articles
and rejects defective ones. Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock
counts. Prepares data for computer input and works with computer printouts. Uses personal computer (PC)
and material/ production tracking software.
Responsibilities:
• Perform material transactions and item master updates in MRP system including material issues
to work orders, part transfers, sales order picks, inventory adjustments, inventory reclassifications,
and part location changes.
• Compile and maintain material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement
of material and parts between production areas, according to pre-determined production schedules
and order priorities.
• Read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine the type and quantity
of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
• Confer with department supervisors and/or Planners to determine overdue material and parts and
to inform supervisors and/or Planners of material status.
• Support quarterly cycle count process which includes counting parts, data entry, and possible recounts.
• Maintain inventory location accuracy including the physical movement of parts.
• Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with procedures.
• Monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock.
• Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage,
correct part numbers, quantity, and revisions.
• Issue material against approved paperwork such as affixing verification and traceability on required
serialized parts before issuing. Validate lot trace.
• Perform good housekeeping chores in area.
• Support the organizations metric goals and objectives.
• Abide by all procedures, desk instructions and standard operating documents.
• Assist in shipping/receiving basic functions as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, (GED) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of inventory, and/or stockroom experience required.
• Safety oriented and willing to participate in continuous improvement team discussions.

Compensation range: $24.54 - $34.65
