Description

Join our dynamic team as the Director of Digital Transformation, where you will shape the future of our organization’s digital ecosystem. In this pivotal role, you will lead strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen data-driven decision-making, and elevate both customer and employee experience. Leveraging modern technologies and proven transformation practices, you will guide cross-functional teams across our aerospace & defense (A&D) manufacturing environment to achieve measurable business outcomes and foster a culture of innovation and digital excellence.

Mandatory Requirements

The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of Aerospace & Defense (A&D) manufacturing processes and a deep functional understanding of the complete quote‑to‑cash (Q2C) process, including how these processes connect across engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and customer delivery. The candidate must also be able to effectively translate business functions, operational needs, and end‑to‑end process requirements into clear technical specifications as well as convert complex technical concepts into language that is understandable and actionable for business and functional users. This role requires the ability to bridge strategy, process, and technology to ensure alignment across technical, operational, and leadership team

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive digital transformation strategy aligned with the company’s long-term business goals.
  • Partner with business units and act as an IT Business Relationship Manager to understand needs, build trust, and translate requirements into effective digital capabilities.
  • Drive modernization across disparate enterprise ERP systems, ensuring integration, interoperability, and process standardization.
  • Oversee enterprise data warehouse, business intelligence, and analytics initiatives to strengthen insights, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Implement and steward enterprise data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance across all digital platforms.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute opportunities for operational efficiency, process improvement, and automation across the A&D manufacturing value chain.
  • Lead the adoption of emerging technologies—including cloud platforms, AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics—to improve business performance.
  • Ensure successful deployment of digital solutions that enhance operational reliability, supply chain performance, manufacturing throughput, and customer engagement.
  • Monitor industry trends, especially within aerospace and defense manufacturing, to inform strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Manage digital transformation budgets, ensuring responsible financial planning and cost-effective execution.
  • Define performance metrics and KPIs to measure the impact and ROI of transformation initiatives.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key technology partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, cybersecurity, regulatory, and export control requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing digital transformation team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior leadership and executive stakeholders with clarity and strategic insight.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital transformation, IT leadership, or enterprise technology roles.
  • Strong background in aerospace & defense or complex manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience integrating and optimizing disparate ERP systems within enterprise operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building or modernizing enterprise data warehouses, BI platforms, and analytics ecosystems.
  • Experience implementing data governance frameworks and driving data stewardship across the organization.
  • Track record of managing large-scale digital transformation initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud computing, AI/ML, automation, and modern data architectures.
  • Strong capabilities in change management, process improvement, and operational transformation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex digital and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in budget planning, financial management, and cost optimization for technology programs.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align technology strategies with organizational priorities.
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and talent development skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple Operating Companies and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience developing digital roadmaps and guiding organizations through multi-year transformation journeys.
