Intern roles are intended help build the engineering team and provide valuable training and experience to those that fill the roles. The engineering interns will be busy and are not expected to have much downtime or be sent on meaningless tasks.  Triumph Gear Systems engineering includes design, test, sustaining, and manufacturing.  The intern position will aid in the engineering teams’ goals which will include be a variety of technical and problem-solving tasks. 


Tasks will include CAD work (CREO), technical drawings, review of critical documents for suppliers, design improvements, and timely preparation of engineering documentation.  The tasks may also include aiding in assembly, test, test fixture updates, and manufacturing improvements.



  • Junior, Senior, or recently graduated
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Work effectively in a team environment and maintain flexibility.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in the design of rotating equipment including any gear design is preferred.
  • Understand manufacturing processes such as milling, turning, grinding, plating, and heat treatment of metals is desirable
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is beneficial
  • Proficiency in CAD is desirable, experience with Pro-engineer is beneficial
  • CREO, Ansys, LABVIEW is beneficial
  • Microsoft Excel, and Word
  • Strong writing aptitude
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent resident
