Responsibilities

 

  • Able to use predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually and dimensionally in-process assemblies, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, completed mechanical units and manufactured parts
  • Use various inspection tools and devices 
  • Accept or reject any non-conforming or specifications, inspection instructions and checklists
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
  • Ensure quality standards and specifications are met on incoming products
  • Record and approve/reject products 
  • Interface with Buyers, Planners, Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers & Quality Engineering Departments
  • Verify calibration of area tools
  • Ensure product and certification conformance to blueprint, customer specifications, M.O. and P.O. requirements
  • Approve tech layouts and building inspections

Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Computer skills & knowledge
  • Mechanical aptitude, problem solving abilities, basic math skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
  • Ability to read and comprehend specs and work instructions
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Some knowledge of inspection equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Basic GD&T knowledge preferred
