  • Design and analysis of precision Gear Systems including Aerospace Actuators, Accessory Gearboxes and Propeller Drives.  Other applications include Power Generation Gearboxes and Winch Drives.
  • Perform tolerance stack up analysis and reports.
  • Maintain the technical knowledge and awareness of developments related to aircraft drive systems.
  • Improve the cross-functional Aerospace Manufacturing Processes & Methods.
  • Work in high performance cross-functional teams to improve the teams’ performance and efficiencies
  • Design and troubleshooting of high-speed rotating equipment including bearing analysis, spur, helical and bevel gear design and analysis (AGMA)(CAGE)(ISO)
  • Design and managing castings as well as integrated lubrication and cooling systems.
  • Work and help manage master schedules, requirements documents, and compliance matrices
  • Timely preparation of associated engineering documentation including but not limited to Analysis Reports, Failure Investigations Reports, Project Plans, Test Plans, Project deliverable documents and Engineering Changes.


•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
•    Eight or more years of relevant design experience (Aircraft Systems Engineering) Five  years’ experience in an aerospace gear system, transmission or actuation related industry preferred.
•    Proficiency with CAD software is required.  ProE/Creo is preferred. 
•    High proficiency in written and verbal communication in a cross functional team critical.  Includes being able to maintain flexibility to take on tasks outside their direct responsibility
•    Proficiency in design and analytical software tools required, ansys one of the preferred softwares
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint
•    Experience in Advanced Gear System Design Software such as MASTA is a plus.
•    Demonstrated ability to support Project Engineering and Project Schedules.
•    Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is a requirement.
•    Experience in mechanical system design, integration and development. 
•    Analytical knowledge of Reliability, FMECA, Ansys, RCCA and Six Sigma are desirable. 
•    Demonstrated experience in the management of mechanical system design, integration and development.
•    Strong electromechanical or hydraulic interface and application knowledge with experience in meeting customer schedules, manufacturability and cost goal expectations.
•    Familiarity with formal Qualification Standards such as DO160, MIL-STD-810 and/or EUROCAE ED-14 is desirable.
•    Broad technical knowledge of aircraft systems and awareness of current aircraft developments and technologies.
•    Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Aerospace Manufacturing Processes and Methods.
