Based in Park City, UT, Triumph Geared Solutions is a leading independent aerospace gear and gear box supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 200 employees. The Company’s key products and services include power transmission systems, integrated gearbox design and builds, airframe mounted accessor drives (AMAD’s), engine mounted accessory drives (EMAD’s), rotorcraft transmissions, turboshaft internal gearboxes, emergency power gearboxes, and large complex aero gears for both OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

 

 

Park City, UT lies east of Salt Lake City in the western state of Utah. Framed by the craggy Wasatch Range, it’s bordered by the Deer Valley Resort and the huge Park City Mountain Resort, both known for their ski slopes.

 

Overview

Triumph Gear Systems in Park City, UT is currently seeking a Director of Operations. The Director of Operations will be responsible for leading the site’s Manufacturing organization to drive best in class performance and drive a positive continuous improvement culture to effectively manage the business. This includes defining processes, standards, specifications, and other technical data necessary to meet manufacturing process requirements. as well as supporting other functions in the pursuit of excellence. Responsibilities also include regular interactions with site specific high-level customers

Responsibilities

 

  • Drive Safety, Quality and On Time Delivery of products and services
  • Assure customer expectations are consistently satisfied, products and services always meet quality specifications and all resources are fully utilized to provide cost-effective solutions.
  • Lead the Operations team of supervisors in meeting and/or exceeding all company / customer expectations for quality, delivery and safety.
  • Identify and resolve resource and technological constraints as well and ensure that resources are appropriately identified and assigned. Participates in the acquisitions and set-up of new equipment and processes.
  • Develop Operations budgets for the business plan and analyze monthly performance metrics to attain production and shipping goals within Company objectives.
  • Establish and drive company initiatives that advance improvement in both delivery and cost.
  • Actively interface with customers to promote positive, constructive relationships.
  • Ensure that the quality of products/processes meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Provide oversight and reporting of Production Accountability.
  • Proactively interact with all levels and departments of the company to ensure company goals and expectations are met.
  • Strict adherence to the Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines and policies as well as Federal, State, and Local laws.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. Master’s Degree a plus
  • 5 years of management experience in Operations or Production Management  
  • 8-10 years of Manufacturing experience in Aerospace or other complex machining or highly regulated industries with exacting and demanding requirements. 
  • Strong experience and working knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations.
  • AS9100 QMS body of knowledge experience preferred. 
  • Possess a leadership style that is effective at influencing organizational cultural change. 
  • Demonstrated success at delivering superior business results through the effective execution of company initiatives and objectives.
  • Accomplished in building positive relationships with co-workers, suppliers and customers.
