We are currently seeking a Program / Cost Analyst for our Park City, UT Location.

Responsibilities

COST ANALYST

  • Ensures that costs are allocated according to established procedures
  • Gather and analyze historical cost data on such activities as material purchases, labor, equipment depreciation, repairs, assembly, operating expenses, etc.
  • Works hand-in-hand with Operations Management to gather data from the ERP system, including labor, material usage and purchase price variances.
  • Participates with Operations in analysis of Master Schedule, Bill of Material, Routing and Inventory accuracy and provides support to continuous improvement by identifying areas of inaccuracy and risk.
  • Assists Pricing by developing unit costs and projecting expenses
  • Prepares reports, and provides insight into, costs comparisons including budget to actual, or quarter over quarter
  • Prepare actual and forecast profitability analyses
  • Recommend enhancements to the cost accounting workflow in our current ERP system
  • Complete journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Track and report on NRE/Earned Value on development projects. 
  • Actively track and maintain the R&D costs in the organization
  • Train as a back-up for reporting financials to corporate (HFM software)
  • Complete cost of sales schedules on a monthly and quarterly basis for corporate
  • Participate in and recommend Kaizen events to improve organizational effectiveness
  • Perform inventory valuation, calculate reserve requirements and maintain the cycle count program
  • Coordinate with Purchasing on make/buy analysis decisions
  • Provide guidance to the organization on budget preparation and roll up the cost schedules for the budget
  • Maintain and track product and claim flow for Warranty management

PROGRAM ANALYST

  • Support Program Managers on various programs with financial analysis
  • Track and monitor program financials, cost deliverables, risks and opportunities, gross margin, cash flow and revenue utilizing ASC 606 guidelines
  • Assist with program reviews
  • Develop robust process to forecast, track, monitor and report out ETCs (estimates to complete) on Engineering projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related degree
  • Ability to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing, and estimating concepts and principles.
  • Experience in a complex, interactive MRP/ERP environment, actively participating with Operations and Engineering management to optimize financial performance.
  • Ability to conduct fact-finding exercises as needed to review basis of price/cost trends and development of key cost indicators.
  • Ability to review Supplier proposals for Compliance with FAR and LM requirements.
  • Ability to utilize analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Work, and PowerPoint.
