CNC Programmer

Position Description

 

The NC Programmer is responsible for delivery of quality NC program(s) with tool drawings and tools to the shop for new development business and existing product improvement in cost, flow and cycle time. Product must meet internal or external design and specifications. Assist and support of the programming through process development.

The NC Programmer is expected to ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and safety requirements.

 

The NC Programmer is expected to develop processes that incorporate customer requirements into the planning and processes to ensure desired outcomes and quality deliverables.

Capabilities & Responsibilities

 

  • Qualified candidate must have 5 years Mastercam Software experience with both vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines.
  • Qualified candidate must have 3 years experience with PROE/CREO
  • Must be able to program 3, 4, and 5 axis equipment.
  • Analyze drawings, design models, and sketches to determine dimensions and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, machine speeds and feed rates according to shop processes, and machine capabilities. Also an in depth knowledge of various materials and material processes
  • Must be able to understand GD &T, read and interpret blue prints
  • Aerospace experience also a plus.
