Trainee Quality Inspector

Trainee Quality Inspector

Reporting to:       Chief Inspector
Location:             IOM
Responsible for: Quality Inspector activities in support of ongoing Production programs.

Qualifications/Experience:

Essential:  

 •    Desire to undertake required training to become a Quality inspector
 •    Passionate to work with Aerospace products and ensure conformity.
 •    Computer literate using all MS products including databases.
 •    Previous experience using measuring equipment.

Desired:

 •    Ability to perform first principle measurement.
 •    Experience of calibration of gauges.
 •    Able to read engineering drawing
 •    Knowledge of Aerospace standard AS9100

 •    Key Personal Indicators – Team player, able to effectively communicate, flexible.

Outline of Job Requirements

•    Create First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation in support of the Quality Inspector.
•    Develop skills to measure product using first principle measuring.
•    Administer calibration system, liaise with external service providers to ensure parts are calibrated on time to expected cost. Develop skills to calibrate equipment in-house.
•    Continually develop skills to meet the business needs.
