Role Summary and Essential Responsibilities

•   Working with the New Product Introduction team you will be required to design, manufacture & maintain jigs and fixtures for use in the production of aerospace components.
•   Manufacture from original customer drawings low volume aerospace components.
•   Manufacture gauging and assembly and test aids.
•   Suggest and implement process improvement ideas.
•   Provide tool and cutter grinding support to manufacturing team.
•   Provide manual/ CNC machining support to production team including milling, drilling & surface grinding.
•   Rectification of non-conforming parts.
•   Support business improvement activities.
•   Program, Design fixtures and tooling to produce EDM features.

Qualifications and Desired Characteristics

Experience as a toolmaker in a similar environment is desired.

Able to:
•   Understand and work from customer component /tooling drawings to produce finished product.
•   Work to tight tolerances. +/- 0.0001”/ 2um
•   Measure and verify own work.

Experience in the use of all/any the following equipment:
•   CNC Mill/ Turn
•   Manual Mill/ Lathe
•   Tool and cutter grinder
•   Surface grinders.
•   EDM Die sink Knowledge
