Role Summary/ Essential Responsibilities

Working as part of a team within a manufacturing cell to manufacture aircraft landing gear components to aerospace tolerances and standards.

Required to undertake all of the tasks in the cell to manufacture a component from various materials including titanium and aluminium alloys. This includes:

•    Setting and operating CNC milling/ turning & EDM machines.
•    Checking and verifying own work.
•    Part marking, manual broaching, lapping & cleaning of components.
•    First line maintenance, calibration of machines.

Qualifications/ Desired Characteristics

Experience in:
•    Operating and setting machining centres.
•    Operating and setting CNC lathes.
•    Operating and setting Wire/ Die sinker EDM.
•    Experience with Mazak, Fanuc, Okuma & Mori Seiki controls.
•    The use of CMM equipment & manual measuring equipment.
•    Use of tool measuring/ setting equipment.
•    Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principals.
