Job Summary
The Machining Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the defined internal production team. Responsible for meeting internal production KPI’s through standard work and continuous improvement efforts. The scope includes allocation of work to machines, managing priorities, and managing personnel.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and motivate team members to achieve desired efficiency, proficiency, and cooperation in creating positive morale.
- Review and analyze potential scheduling issues and devise/implement procedures to minimize lost time incidents.
- Review operational schedules, coordinate with production, and manage team members assignments.
- Direct cross functional HPT to resolve potential machine or process issues.
- Responsible for execution of standard work on the team.
- Create and support an environment to encourage open communications and cooperation at all levels of the organization.
- Promote and build a safety-first culture
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous Leadership experience
- Strong interpersonal skills needed to lead cross functional team
- Strong decision - making skills for making timely and informed decisions
- ERP software experience
- Excellent emotional and time management skills
- Analytical skills for evaluating data to ensure the best processes
- Understand operational KPI’s and what drives improvements
- Experience and Fluent with Microsoft office
- Associates degree or 5 years of relevant work experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment
- Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or paper format
