Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Quality Assurance for our Macomb, MI Location.

The Senior Analyst, Quality Assurance will be responsible for being a thought leader for site Quality System Maturity and Health. This includes compliance of the QMS, associated KPIs and analytics, and project management of Quality Improvement Plans.

 

This role will provide training, coaching, and mentoring of internal auditors in systems thinking and process-based auditing. Interprets industry, customer, and regulatory Quality System requirements. Participates within New Product Introduction (NPI) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) as well as supporting other functions in the pursuit of excellence. They lead regular onsite interactions with site specific customers and/or regulatory agencies within the context of the external audit process.

 

This role will provide data analytics/knowledge management to help the site focus on Quality performance and drive a positive Quality/Continuous improvement culture that effectively mitigates and reduces the overall cost of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Internal Audit organization is a full partner in driving company execution and improving site operations through guidance on compliance to customer, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
  • Ownership and management of the yearly Audit Plan across the Macomb Site.
  •  Reporting of Quality analytics at the Macomb Site (i.e. Audit status, RCCA status, DPMO, COPQ).
  • Tracking and follow-up of actions identified in site Quality Improvement Plans and Quality Risk Management Plans.
  • Contribute and participate in providing guidance/training to the QA team in respect to upcoming changes to AS9100 by actively staying abreast of industry changes.
  • Supports and assists in leading the integration of the Internal Audit Program
  • Identifying, addressing site level Quality Issues inclusive of escalation to the Corporate level as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Quality Management, or similar field  
  • 5+ years of Manufacturing and Quality Assurance experience in Aerospace or other complex manufacturing industry with exacting requirements
  • Experience with AS9100
  • Experience with Lean 6 Sigma
  • Experience and knowledge of core data analytics tools such as creating Pareto, Paynter, Cause Effect and trend analysis from raw data.
  • Strong Root Cause and Corrective Action skills
  • Experience with process-based auditing, product-based auditing, and risk-based auditing
  • Competency and aptitude for influencing organizational cultural change.
  • Organizational skills, creativity, and visionary forward-thinking skills
  • Accomplished in building positive relationships with co-workers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Strong facilitation, oral and written communications to all levels within the organization and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Qualitifications

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Quality Management, or similar
  • 8+ years of Manufacturing and Quality Assurance experience in Aerospace or other complex manufacturing industry with exacting requirements
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor Certification
  • Lean 6 Sigma Certification
  • Experience with AS9101, AS9102, AS9103, AS9117, AS9120. AS9145, AS9136 and AS9162, AC7130
  • Experience with Advanced Quality Processes (PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, 8D, A3 Problem Solving)
  • Experience with Variation Management and Measurement Systems Analysis
  • Compliance and Regulatory experience
  • Experience with 3rd Party Registrars
