Short Description

The Facilities and Maintenance Manager reports to the Director of Operations and will be responsible for managing the development, cost control, engineering, modification, and quality control of Production and Facilities assets as well as associated processes to achieve maximum efficiency and utilization of the equipment and Facility for its intended function. Develops and performs administrative functions with respect to new or established policies, procedures and methods, recommending changes to improve Production and Facilities assets, processes, quality, and reduce overall operating costs.


  • Participates in the development of the objectives and business plans of the Site and shares responsibility for the general management of the Production and Facility equipment to achieve AOP targets.
  • Manages the facility Capital (CAPX) budget in support of the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Ability to develop and maintain foundational structure in the following key areas – Corrective Maintenance / PM / TPM / Risk Based Maintenance / Conditional Based Maintenance / OEE / Autonomous Maintenance / 5S / Data management to track and maintain equipment and asset status
  • Develops and manages plans that will create a high-quality Maintenance and Facility team to ensure harmonious workplace relations to enable the Site to meet its current and future objectives.
  • Regularly assesses and provides feedback regarding performance to employees along with completion of annual performance reviews.
  • Maintains a Safe, Healthy and Environmentally sound workplace.
  • Plans, directs, monitors and controls all Maintenance and Facilities activities efficiently and effectively in support of meeting all delivery schedules within assigned cost targets.
  • Retains a working knowledge of OSHA, Hazmat requirements, Safety regulations and Compliances along with working to meet local and regulatory requirements
  • Able to respond to issues on a 24/7 basis as needed.


  • The successful candidate will typically have a BS in Engineering or equivalent and 5+ years of facilities and machine management experience; or 10+ years of related facilities and machine experience.
  • Experienced at budget creation and management, building maintenance plans and procedures, aerospace machining, precision equipment or similar related experience in high precision machining environment.
  • Ideal candidate shall possess experience understanding specifications and interpreting blueprints along with facility layouts and foundation requirements
  • Must have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, consensus, and team building skills
  • Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma certifications highly preferred.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
