Overview

 

We are currently seeking a Design Engineer to support our Park City, UT location. This role will report through our Engineering department in Park City, UT with options to work from offices in Park City, UT, Las Colinas, TX and Macomb, MI. 25% Travel is required.

Responsibilities

 

  • Design and analysis of precision Gear Systems including Aerospace Actuators, Accessory Gearboxes and Propeller Drives.  Other applications include Power Generation Gearboxes and Winch Drives.
  • Design and troubleshooting of high-speed rotating equipment including bearing analysis, spur, helical and bevel gear design and analysis (AGMA)(CAGE)(ISO)
  • Design responsibilities include the design and analysis of hardware, integration of high-speed components, and integrated lubrication systems.
  • Timely preparation of associated engineering documentation including modeling, drafting, model-based definition, and reports as well as learning how to perform tolerance stack up analysis and reports.
  • Improve the cross-functionals Aerospace Manufacturing Processes & Methods.
  • Work in high performance cross-functional teams to improve the teams’ performance and efficiencies

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Proficiency with CAD software is preferred.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication in a cross functional team critical. 
  • Ability to learn design and analytical software tools
  • Proficiency and ability to improve in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn to manage and support Project Engineering and Project Schedules.
  • Experience in mechanical system design, integration and development is a plus. 
  • Knowledge or the ability to learn Aerospace Manufacturing Processes and Methods.
