We are currently seeking a Contracts Manager for our Macomb MI Location.


This key role reports to the OpCo Director of Contracts & Commercial and will be responsible for leading the Contracts department in administering contracts for complex geared products and systems, while ensuring fulfillment of contractual, fiscal and performance goals. We are seeking a motivated individual with an ability to learn and adapt to a multitude of situations across multiple customer and government platforms, with export compliance experience. As an integral part of the Macomb management team, you will be tasked with managing and coordinating all contracts, long term agreements and customer terms and conditions, ensuring compliance to contractual requirements, performance monitoring, export and import compliance and negotiation of terms and conditions. Collaboration is crucial to success in this role as it requires regular interactions within and across internal Triumph teams and externally with customers and government contracting officials.



  • Contract Negotiations – review terms and conditions to resolve differences and develop, lead efforts, and negotiate solutions consistent with business objectives
  • Implement commercial strategies for existing and new opportunities
    • Ensure corporate and industry best practice is followed.
    • Interpret market trends and ensure site commercially adapts to industry challenges and the global economic environment
  • Summarize complex contractual issues for corporate review, leading the development of strategy to mitigate risk and resolve conflict
  • Manages and ensures compliance to Export and Import Compliance for the Macomb site. Analyzes requirements for export licenses and processes applications through the Department of State D-Trade system and Department of Commerce SNAP-R system.  Manage Import/Export classifications and compliance.
  • Contract Administration – provide authoritative guidance and visibility to internal business teams n critical and legal concerns and provide or resolution of issues. Receives and reviews requests for pricing, quotations, and proposals.  Provides responses to bids in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Truth in Lending Act (TINA), and certified cost and pricing data standards.
  • Contract Compliance – analyze significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and business practices
  • Prepare and administer contract assertions, terminations and general contract correspondence


  • Work closely with internal and external teams to identify and solve problems, identify and mitigate risks, and prepare and negotiate equitable adjustment proposals across customer base, including aged receivables for payment resolution
  • Self-starter, passionate, and a good communicator in order to establish relationships.
  • Supervise all aspects of the contracts function including but not limited to: PO acceptance and review in correct accordance with the contract, export compliance, resolution of issues on aged debt recovery, claims, application of contractual clauses. (i.e. pricing escalation or de-escalation)
  • Oversee and analyze administration of contracts to ensure compliance with contract terms and business requirements
  • Ensure contract completion/exit activities are fulfilled on time and in compliance
  • Lead effort on government direct and overhaul quotations and proposals
  • Assist with cost proposals development and data submission in respect to CAS, Cost and Price Data, and other prime contractor proposal requirements
  • Develop, execute and administer Non-Disclosure and Proprietary Information Agreements
  • Ensure internal compliance with government tooling / government property systems, reporting and record maintenance
  • Display a strong desire to develop and implement tools to support contract operations to increase speed in contracting processes
  • Influence contract policies and changing business requirements while meeting requirements
  • Other duties as required



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field. Master’s degree or law / pre-law a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to perform essential job functions with 4 or more years of progressive contracting experience in aerospace covering both commercial and military/government contracts
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills with an ability to identify opportunity for revenue generation
  • Working knowledge of Export Compliance regulations, FAR / DFAR / EAR / ITAR regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to contract administration and government procurement
  • Proficient with analyzing, interpreting and conducting contractual agreements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems, Infor Syteline a plus
