Triumph Gear Systems – Macomb is a world class manufacturer and supplier of complex gear assemblies, detail gears, and an array of components servicing the aerospace industry. We are currently seeking a Production Planner who will be responsible for the planning and procurement of materials, material and information flow, and the management and control of inventory in achieving the business objectives. The Production Planner will collaborate with all other cross functional managers to determine Demand and Supply needs to maintain proper inventory levels.

Short Description

Responsible for the overall schedule of their respective customers.  The Planner will maintain their customer schedules using the ERP system to ensure customer demand is lined up with internal supply.  The Planner will communicate with our internal expeditor to ensure parts are being scheduled to ensure product delivery on time to the customer.  The Planner will communicate with the Contracts department and Program Management to ensure customer schedules stay in line with our internal manufacturing capabilities.  The Planner will ensure daily/weekly shipments are created and maintained with our inspection and shipping department to meet customer deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage work orders to customer demand
  • Manage and prioritize source list
  • Review production schedules and communicate with expeditor MFG needs
  • Create daily/weekly ship schedules
  • Work with Master Scheduler to identify risks/opportunities
  • Ensure all MRB and Rework work orders are lined up with customer demand
  • Work with expeditor to create and maintain expedited plans

Qualifications

  • Background in Master Scheduling and/or Planning
  • In depth knowledge of supply chain and inventory management systems
  • ERP and MRP management from order entry to shipment of product
  • Strong interpersonal skills needed to lead cross functional projects
  • Strong decision - making skills for making timely and informed decisions
  • Analytical skills for evaluating data to ensure the best processes
  • Hands on experience with forecasting and budgeting
  • Excellent emotional and time management skills
