Description
Troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft components. Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions. Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, or adjustment and certify/test of various aircraft components in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. May conduct quality inspections in accordance with quality specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Follow directions and / or instructions, as directed.
- Familiar with Internal Customer Interfaces, as defined by the process assigned.
- Process forms and document work by utilizing their endorsement, in accordance with the Quality Management System.
- Notify immediate supervisor of any suspected un-airworthy condition noted while performing their duties.
- Acquire and maintain hand tools, if necessary, to complete work assigned.
- Clean, disassemble and identify components, with normal supervision.
- Have a good understanding of blueprints, technical manuals and planning documents with normal supervision.
- Apply different type’s conversion coatings and sealants using different types of tools and methods with normal supervision.
- Work in conjunction with higher grade Mechanics to further their job knowledge base through OJT with normal supervision.
- Cleans work area, when required with minimal supervision.
- Read and understand blueprints and technical manuals.
- Accomplish basic repairs with normal supervision.
- Have a basic understanding of computer processes involved in daily operations.
- Other various duties, as assigned.
